Hey guys, i have an 04' r1, and i was thinking about getting the akro y-pipe. I have a set of two brothers slip ons right now. I read somewhere that the y pipe works with different brands, but do any of you guys think i would run into any problems. I'm not expecting any big hp gains, but it is supposed to reduce the heat....so its worth a try. Would i need to re-map my PCIII if i did this? Thanks for any help.

I knew it would eleminate the cat, that is what causes the reduction in heat. So i guess you guys know what needing a custom map means......BMC race filter and velocity stacks!

Well there is product made by Cobra. It is dyno-less fuel optimizer. They offering were a level of sponsership to me but I declided due to my bike already running a PCIIIR-usb. From what he said the unit knows what the bike is doing wrong fueling wise adn fixes it with out any need for a custom map.. I have not heard of anyone using them but I have been thinking about getting one for my PC-less GSXR
