i have flush mount tear drop's now,but my panel's ain't flat and it dont flow.i'm preping the panel's for paint so it would be time to put hole's in'em now.i don't care if there not DOT appoved,if i get stopped for them then they have to much time on there hand's.there are easier target's like the loud bike's with strait pipe's that never get stopped.

LED's are sharp, but not DOT approved....I'd keep the OEM's handy when it comes time for inspection tho.
That's not completely true... many manufactures use LED's on their bikes... R6's have had them in the tail for years... many other types of bikes come with nothing but LED tails and blinkers.

All I know is most of the after market LED's don't say DOT approved on them. If you have a picky state inspection...unless it says DOT stamped on the light...the inspectors don't like that.
Speaking of After Market blinkers...I have some for sale. The pics are in my SV parts for sale thread. They are carbon fiber signals. Click on the link in my sig to see them. $20.00 OBO and they're yours.

A little AZ FYI: I just talked to an official AZ inspections officer a few days ago. Luckily in this state, apparently all they need to be is visible from a minimun of 50 feet. Thats good for me, becuase I am having a hell of a time searching for the OEM turn signals for my bike.
