Hey I've got a little issue... I bought my bike and was given a 1000 credit through them for gear... I ordered an Arai helmet... they came back on wednesday and said that they couldn't get Arai because they have to order more than 10 a year... (which I understand from working in retail before the military) so I ordered a Shoei... stop in today... same thing... BUT she told me she knows she can get AGV... I know it's a good brand... but my problem is that I've tried on the shoei... and the Arai... I wear a Large in Shoei... and a Medium in Arai... but I haven't ever tried on a AGV and the limited bike shops I have up here NONE stock AGV...

so i'm wondering if anyone has an AGV helmet... and if so... how does the fit compare to Arai and Shoei? and what model is it?

I know it's a long shot but... :help:

hmm i'm not sure on that, but you should have demanded the shoei and setteled for no less since they couldn't get you the arai. I wouldn't buy a helmet with out trying in on in the first place. Every helmet feels and fits differently.:2cents:

I know... and there's a shop down the road that carries both Arai and Shoei... I think I'm just gonna tell them to buy it from them and sell it to me... simple... no?:scratch:

You have to be carefull. Not all brands and/or models will fit the same. So are designed to fit round heads and others for oval heads. It depends on your head shape!

Strangely enough, we lost all AGV dealers in my area a few years ago. :crazy: They all can still get'em. Just have to be ordered. :wtf:

doesn't that make it hard to sell? I mean not many would buy a helmet they couldn't wear... I actually contacted AGV to find a dealer or someway of trying one on... they're sweet helmets.. but like SV said... every helmet feels diffrent... and 400+ on a helmet you HOPE fits is a tough call... basicly they're stuck with return customers... and even then it's ify...


on a side note... there are NO dealers in alaska... one in Oregon... and one or two in Seatle... but they couldn't tell me if they stocked them or not... :disapp:

A close friend at the parts counter told me AGV lost its popularity in competition with other brands so they dropped the stock. Seems most dealers are going with top line brands and the budget brands only for stock in my area. Nothing really in between. That really sucks because if you want a helmet today. You have to get a cheap helmet or a pricey one.

Thanks... unfortuanly it doesn't help much as I wear a large in Shoie and a Medium in Arai... weird lol... my odd shaped noggin is to blame... :bash:

Like I said... it may not be that they run small but they aren't the correct shape for your head!
