I brought our puppy in to get his hoo hoos snipped off this morning (I know, guys, I'm so mean!)...I know it's silly that I get so nervous that he's having surgery, but he's my baby. Think good thoughts this morning for my little guy! ;)

Gosh...I'm such a girl.

You are getting what snipped off?

You have good reason to be worried but I'll share the story for after he comes out all better!

More people should do that to dogs! I am with Pippi & Bob Barker on the philosophy of fixing pets! Have your pets Spayed or Neutered!

Actually, I have a story too...that's why I worry so much. :(

Think good thoughts...think good thoughts. :)

And I agree, Ace. If more people would get their animals fixed, there would be less animals out there needing homes that don't have them!

:iagree: All our pets are fixed unless we are breading them. Then after they have had a safe number of liters, they will be fixed.

If it makes you feel any better I had Hernia surgery two day ago, I am not going to be licking my wound though.
Good luck with the pup, I have been through it with mine. They dont even know. In fact it makes them healthier so you did the right thing.

I hope you feel better! Surgery for adults really sucks!

My pup is back with me now. He's uncomfortable, but he's falling asleep, so hopefully he'll just rest. thanks for the well wishes...ok, now gas man, what was your horrible story? I'm not sure I even want to know! :yikes:

The pup will be fine, my wife works in a Vet's office. She says they just grab hold of the sack and SNIP. Gotta suck. On a good note, you can now get prosthetic nuts for your dog. LOL. Seriously.

My mother in law had a puppy... a Toy Shi tzu...see attached pic...

She took him in to get his little nose openings opened a bit more and his little heart quit under the anticisa (sp?)...they tried everything to bring the little guy back but he just didn't make it. They said he had a allergic reaction to the drugs and had a heart attack. Nothing they could do... he was not quite 2 years old...but that's my sad story...cause he was a cute little puppy!

Oh my god, gas man. That is so sad! What a cute puppy, too.

I had a friend who took her puppy in to be fixed and the vet tech helping with the operation didn't turn on the oxygen that is supposed to be administered with the gas...the puppy died. I know sometimes stuff happens, but that was such a stupid mistake...I still think about that and that happened over 15 years ago!
