ive been riding for a while. in 1983 at age 17 i purchased a 1983 kaw gpz 550. top of the line bad ass rocket .............back then.In 1986 i got a kawi 750 turbo, and proceeded to kill suzukis and every thing else i met at a stop sign or traffic signal. In 1990 i found a 1986 zx1000 ninja w/600 miles on it in perfect shape, ive still got that bike to this day. A couple of days ago i stopped at a dealership and had the pleasure of piloting a 2004 zx12 ninja, and u guessed it i took her home. i made the mistake of trying to see what she would really do. 120mph,130,150,170 and thats when i said ......ok thats enuff. ive been riding for 23 yrs i have never experienced anything like this. Respect is newly learned. Is there any advice on how i could make it more comfortable for touring.
thanks, and like ill always end by saying ........"keep it on two." if u dont know what that means then feel free to ask me . later. " KEEP IT ON TWO"

Are you talking about modding the bike into more creature comforts, like grips, different windscreen, gel seat, saddle bags, etc. ?

Awesome ride, btw...and definately put up some pics of it !

Speed is an awesome thing, but when you're on zx12, damn, its gotta be just unreal!!!

I just sold A GSXR 1000 because I didn't need all that speed.
It sure was fun though.

After 23 years, I doubt we could tell you anything you don't already know.
New seat, riser and a taller wind screen.
Have fun with that beast.

With that kind of experience, I figured most would be coming to you. Yeah, riser, higher windscreen, gel seat. That's really about it on something like that. Enjoy.

I'm sure you will Love it...:yum:

After you find what you want and change it... Let me know what you think and from where. There are a few things I would like to do to my 2k ZX12R... just haven't got around to them yet... But I'm sure that a Gel seat would be as high on your list as it is on mine...

Enjoy that beast... :dthumb:

u know there ,,,,rodogg or whatever yer name is , and of course this is just my opinion, the only thing that seperates a kawi, yama, honda or suzuki..............is probably a a few set of double doors .hell there probably made in the same big ass building, again only an opinion i really dont know or care.i started out on a kawi started buying kawi hats and shirts and other kawi gear, heck by the time i was able to get another bike i had all this gear that had kawi on it.heck it would have cost me more money to switch to something else, besides the bike is only as good as the rider, and of course opinions r free.so until next time "KEEP IT ON TWO". "and by the way this has 23yrs of two wheel experience behind it."
