Um, ok!

Wow... he's been the man for the news for a long time... 24 years eh? I'm only 28, so it seems like he's been the news man my whole life.. Some bungles lately, but he's been pretty damn good.

Imagine the crazy stuff he has seen and reported over the years... sheesh, imagine the stuff he's seen that he couldn't even report!

I was really surprised to read that he is stepping down.

I just got done reading this before I logged on here and was like I didn't know he was that old either.

between him, tom brokaw and the others..thats alot of experience they'll be losing in the future... people trust these news anchors, it will take them time, and the ratings will reflect it, till they get used to the new ones..

ok ur right now..but back in the day,and still with all the ederly and old school population they do...but these days, the newer generations have quite a different opinion on them.

Well, when they blatently spin things and get caught in lies, it's kind of hard to regain trust as an unbiased reporter. :lol: I couldn't care less b/c I watch the cable channels anyway, as more an more people are every year. The elderly are too tired to sift through what's real and what's not, they just want the weather.

exactly true..when u've been watching somebody for 20-30 years, it doesnt really much matter what happens with them towards the end..

but yeah, i watch fox news the most.. cnn is OK..

Same here. When I'm online I'll check the BBC and Al Jazeera just to see what the other goons in the world are saying. lol

yeah, al jazeera shows some hard core, uncensored footage..definately not for the meek of heart..

They show it in parts. . if you feel the need to see uncensored stuff, go to www.ogrish.com

They are not edited and definitely not for someone w/ a weak stomach. I've watched a few and I'm done, I've seen enough.
