I purchased a leather alpinestars jacket and pant. My gloves are johnny rocket, they seem good to go because they have pads for my knuckles. My helmet is a Shoei Badge TC-5. Im not sure about shoes as of yet. :scratch: I plan to ride in some leather boots i have that go up just above my ankle bone. Is alpinestars gear good and should I get motorcycle boots?

I ride with AlpineStars most of the time. I also have some A* Bullet Boots I use.

I bought a pair of Astars GPS boots. Like them alot for riding. Not an all day walkaround boot but for on the bike they're great. One big thing I noticed is that the uppers are tipped ahead just a little so when you're on the bike there is no tension on your ankles and shins. On a long ride they are alot more comfortable than work boots and the protection is there if you ever need it. I would recommend them.
