I know in MI they're illegal, "they" meaning anything fun. We used to go to Ohio on the way to Cedar Point and pick up a ton of them to bring back.

Down South here in 'Bama you can get almost anything. Last year I didn't bother, but this year I got a few small things. Reminds me of my youth, I used to take apart fireworks and make my own. :yikes: Not the smartest thing...

I got the gayest little package for $20... the Wal-Mart special... MI Fireworks at their best... Oooohhh... Ahhhhh.. Oh boy, this one shoots sparks 2 feet in the air too. Wonder what this one does? Oh, it shoots sparks 2 feet in the air. Oh, how about this big huge one? Ahhh, shoots sparks 2 feet into the air, only for a long time.

Yeah, I missed out on stopping in Ohio or Indiana or something this year.

In the south where theres not alot of dry brush to burn you can light just about anything short of hand grenades. We kept it small this year. Might make a sparkler bomb though.

Those rip off guys are everywhere.... and some of the good big stuff may be illiegal but you can always get it. You are going to pay top dollar but you can get it!

family stopped over for the holiday and had about $500 of the good stuff, its amazing what you can buy out of the back of a van...it looked like ww3 off a dock, the neighbors started bcthing so we had to stop....stuck up ppl suck!!!!! :cursin:

oh yeah I went to Star Fireworks like I have for the past 15 years and got some bad ass mortars and put on a good show Saturday night.. I am a pyro and people enjoy my show, i.e. me drinking beer, lighting off illegal fireworks, endangering my well being all for their good time.. And of course I enjoy blowing **** up.. Here is several pics..

Oh and Gasman no it is not big money if you know where to go - I spent about 5 years finding Star Fireworks in our own backyard.. It is actually in Michigan but they are allowed to sell mortars, etc. because they have a field in Ohio where you are supposed to go light them.. Yeah whatever.. Anyways for less than $150 I put on a good hour long show that everyone enjoyed.. Tell me that's big money? Not likely.. I could get some class a stuff for a few bucks more but why bother? The class c stuff is good enough.. (of course a 1/4 stick would be nice for the grand finale)...

I just bought my shiot off the back of a truck at a truck stop. We estimated about 4 to $500 worth of stuff that I paid $100 for the lot. :dthumb:
It took four of us over three hours to set it all off tonight. After we all had way to much to drink, we let the teenagers take over. :help:
We have a 10ft law in NC.
Funny thing is about five houses in my community always have the big motor shells and massive rockets. :yikes: A local cop lives in one. We never have any trouble with that pissy law. :lol:

I didn't get to buy fireworks this year, I was on the road traveling to PA from KY. I got to see some fireworks for a few minutes traveling thru Frostburg MD.

Went to a party tonite and then went and saw the fireworks that York has every year at the expo center. They are usually pretty good, w/ a live orchestra, food vendors and all that. We were at a party at one of our friends house, in the city and they spent like 300.00 on fireworks shipped up from south of the border; or so I'd heard since they are also illegal here too..unless u go to one of those roadside stands where u get glorified sparklers and bottle rockets.

Anyhow, it was cool, some other people were there who also spent over 100.00 as well, so we had our own little show tonite like always...but our son still doesnt like them as he ran into the house to play and watch TV :willy:

MP... I mean usually if you buy the "good stuff" aka illiegal stuff at the corner tent..they charge you a fotuane... but yes, if shopped correctly..you can get it for alot cheaper. And I must say those little chinese boys and girls did a good job packing those MP! Looks mighty fine!
