Have you ever dragged your knee while street riding?

No...for now. 1-peice isn't too far away. If it's raining I'm gonna get it today. Not sure if I want to try dragging on the streets for the first time. I think I'd rather be at a track for the first time. If I get scared or it feels weird, I'd rather be at the track in case something bad happens, but I doubt I'll get scared. May just feel weird first.

Your first time will defiantly catch you off guard. You will be trying so hard with nothing and all of a sudden it touches. Usually when not trying so hard. Its on from there.

i used to on my 600, but havnt for aloooong time. Used to do alot more but 2 kids to say goodnite to changes things. I just have fun now :cheers:

Never dragged my knee on the street, only got the occassional touch when I was racing my "buckets". Usually just before I crashed!!

Got on the Cagiva Mito, and within 3 laps of Wakefield Park, I had my knee solid on the ground in all but 2 corners. Plus did the circuit 5 seconds quicker per lap (1:21 down to a 1:16)

A friend of mine said the same thing after he got his R1 on the track for the first time. He said the bike just inspired so much confidence in it's handling, that you couldn't help but go faster.

I ride a lot of back country roads and do some knee dragging in a few places. I've only done it a couple of times in intersections when I have the green arrow, my speed is right and the road is clean. It's rather stupid doing it in a crowded intersection though. If you lowside, you have a large audience to witness your stupidity:yikes: :bash: :help: :cursin:

I have to say yes....I have scraped my jeans a lot, if I had knee pucks on the leathers then I'd be scraping all the time....

I have to agree. Things change with age. I dont go fast enough where I ride to even come close to draggin.

:scratch: For some reason I love to drag my knee whenever possible but only taking a left turn and not on a right. I dont know why but really cant get that knee to go down as well as I do on the left. Any suggestions?:help:

Let me guess....you are right handed?

I don't know why but I also tend to get lower on left turns also....After running hard all day I can get down just as far on the right, but the lefts always seem smoother.:crazy:

That is funny becuase I would imagine that in America you would be more likely to drag a right no matter what handed you were. My thinking is in a right turn, traffic would mostly be on your left making you turn tighter anyway. Making a left has higher risk and your leaning with your head in the on comming traffic lane. And I am only assuming that the kneedraggin gets done on secondary roads. I havent been on may highways with tight sweeping turns that would enable a kneedrag even if I did it.

I don't know why it is...but almost everyone I have ever talked to that is right handed seems to take the left turns better.

Yeah most knee drags occurs on secondary roads, or off ramps, not too many places on interstate where you can get too low to drag a knee. :lol:

Never. I'd rather not...not on the street. I drag other sh*t before the knee...such as pegs.

And I corner much better to the right...I think b/c of the traffic factor.

no knee draggin for me on the street. even though i could do it easily because i have long legs.
