Nothing other than the fact I have seen him drag a knee on the street.

Street. We have very few track days a year that are open to the public. I think the local track only has 2 open track days a year and those are $125 a day.
I can teach you how to drag a knee in one word, over the internet: PRACTICE.

The guy teaching will be following us. Small group of guys. He will be able to tell us what we are doing wrong. I dont expect to be dragging my knee by the end of the day but with lots of practice hopefully by the end of the season.
If he is a good teacher and you are capable. You may be dragging by the end of the day.

Well I have a 180 tire and I have less than a 1/4 inch chicken strip on each side, so probably pretty far away.
I've noticed you aren't close till the rear chicken strips are gone. Still, you would be surprised at who far you can go. The confidence that a good instructor and a controlled environment gives could be all you need.

Not too far. A sign that I hang off the bike too much is that my Michelin man isn't all the way worn of yet. I don't have chicken strips left, but I get to a certain point and i hit my knee. Because I hang off too much, my tire doesn't always go to the edge. It leaves me room to play with if I need to lean more. So, I could actually hang off less and lean the bike more. The man's almost gone, but not 100% yet.

I scrubbed off the man on the right side this weekend. I went to the outer edge of the directional arrow up front too. With no hanging off.

I shift my weight and slide over a few inches. Sometimes I really move over on the seat but I dont stick my knee out.
If you don't have leathers with knee sliders. Your better off.
