Hey all! I just got back from my presentation at the 2006 Kawasaki Dealer Convention. Wow, it was amazing. My presentation went well and it was standing room only! The dealers were very interested in the subject of selling better to women.

I put up a little story and my photos. In the next couple of days I will also have up the press info on it as well.

Enjoy!

P.S. Can you tell what bike I want???

looks like someone likes the ZX650R. Those pics are better than press pics. Gives you some real dimension and scale when photographed casually. nice job Laura. Good write up.
Who was the guy riding the 650 on the podium?

Roger Hayden, but of course. ;) Got to hang out with both the Hayden brothers for a little bit on Saturday. What great guys they both are. Very sweet and shy.

Your article fails to mention what exactly you specified.. The biggest problem I see with most manufacturers selling to women is that they simply don't make bikes that fit women!! Women are generally shorter than men, and nobody makes a real sportbike that will fit a person who's 5'1.
My article was just a general overview of what happened while I was there. I am working on putting together information from our presentation and what we discussed in regards to women and motorcycles. I probably won't have that done until after the weekend. I will make sure I post it here when I'm done. :)

I'm just reallly disappointed with the 2006 designs. These new bikes actually look less appealing when I compared them with the new designs Yamaha, Suzuki, & Triumph came out with. In addition to that we are getting the 650R which looked weird with the full fairings instead of the naked 6N version which looked more natural. Don't know how Kawasaki is going to keep up with the sale in 06 :disapp:

is that one with the euro street fighter exhaust at the bottom right side of plastic the Ninja 650R???? That bike looks SLICK, they need to make it in a 1000. Plus the 4 light system it looks like they are working into is nice, more incline between the lights then Honda or Yamaha, looks real sharp.
