Hope this is not a repost.

Max Biaggi has returned home after a few days rest in America, where he has enjoyed a quiet Christmas vacation away from the persistent rumours about his possible arrival in World Superbike Championship.

"I’ve spent my Christmas holidays in the States. I’ve been training a lot with my Supermotard bike, taking advantage of the great weather conditions (around 20°C), then of course a bit of jogging and gymwork”

Biaggi has spoken again about his departure from MotoGP, and has put on his personal website that he will unveil a book, to be published in a few weeks time, in which all the secrets of his relationship with Repsol Honda will be revealed and exactly what led his departure from the World Championship.

“In these last two months I have read a lots of things about myself, loads of incorrect reports, but I’ve decided to live with it and not even to reply, it isn´t worth it” explained the Roman Emperor. “As all of you already know I have been put in this terrible situation by Honda and as a consequence I won't participate in MotoGP in 2006”.

With regards to the possibility of entering the world of Superbikes, Biaggi spoke highly of the series. “I have always appreciated this category, I also have a few friends in there and they have all my respect. So I am considering this opportunity as a very good one. The difficulties grow as time passes though, in light of the fact that since December 15th we have still been trying to reach an agreement with Kawasaki”

The Roman added that in the coming week he would be able to give more details about his options for competing in Superbikes this coming season.

  Where is he gonna find someone that he hasn't pizzed off that will give him a bike to ride??? If he races this year, he'll have to own the bike...

I don't think I need to know the story of how he acted stupidly and got dumped by Honda...If Camel's deep pockets couldn't save him...:hang:

I would love to see him on a Kawasaki. NO way is Honda going to let him ride in WSB. And you can't have a Roman on a bike sponsored by Mexican beer.:skep:

I wouldn't be sad at all if Biaggi never got another ride. After seeing him up close and personal in the paddock at the Donington MotoGP...I can tell you I don't like that man one bit. He's not very nice. And, he can be very hard on equipment. It's time to bring up some of the great young talent from World Superbike. Just my opinion.

BBC: Biaggi Has Signed With Suzuki WSBK
by dean adans
Friday, January 13, 2006
The BBC is reporting this morning that famed Italian GP champion Max Biaggi signed a contract with Alstare Suzuki on Wednesday of this week, that he will race with the number thirty (Norick 'Yamaha Ride for Life' Abe uses Max's usual #3 in WSBK) and, most tantalizing, Biaggi will test with Corser, Kagayama and Mladin at Phillip Island.

There has been no official word from Suzuki regarding this development.

Suzuki testing, Mladin is a Suzuki rider, albeit not in the same series.

Kinda bums me out that Max is going to be on Alstare, that is one of my favorite teams. Troy Corser is cool and quite fast, and Yukio Kagayama is a freakin riot.. he rides like a madman, crashes a lot, but has some winning ways too. Now Max is there too, and I think he will for SURE mess up the chemistry Troy and Yukio have.

Don't worry that ***** Mladin isn't going to move up. That would mean he would actually have to try and win.

You have to admit. It would be more interesting if Matt left.

Ya, but we all now he isn't going any place. He is so scared of a challenge it isn't funny. And the Matt fans can say what ever they want about "Why would he move his family or why would he leave what he's got?" Your answer is this, Racing is about being the best of the best. And AMA is the bottom of the totem pole as fare as pro motorcycle racing. He should move on to let the up and comers have a chance at the top.
