How/where did you meet that significant other in your life?? I met my wife of 12 years through a personal ad in a singles magazine! That gets some strange looks from people when they hear it...But this?? Would you admit this?

Hmmm...I dont really have a SO (I don't think :lol: on one day...off the next... :bonk: ), but anyway, we met through our roommates. I was still in my pj's and my roommate asked if I had lunch plans, and I said no so she invited me to lunch with her and her boyfriend, then on the way informed me that a guy he works with (and now lives with) was coming along if that was okay. so here I am in a tshirt, jeans, didn't even brush my hair and no make up...They weren't tryin to set us up. Anyway, at lunch, we hit it off and set ourselves up :lol: Then we were on again off again...drama drama..blah blah blah...

I dont really see anything wrong with singles ads and dating websites. I've heard horror stories, but there's always that one chance you'll meet a great person and it sounds like Bumblebee did :thumbs:

I went on a couple dates with girls I met on Yahoo or Match. One was miserable, the other I'm still friends with, but nothing ever came of it.

My current g/f is the one I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. Oddly enough, the feeling is mutual. She has to be pretty cool to put up with my ****. :lol:

She actually called and asked me out. I lived w/ my last girlfriend for 4 years and we took our dogs to the animal clinic where my current g/f works. After we'd broken up, my ex's parents went in there talking about how nice I was, etc. Very odd, but very appreciated. So, they'd been trying to hook us up for two years, and she ended up calling me.

As for blind dates as a whole, I absolutely hate them. I hate dating in general. My life was set, I was perfectly happy being single. :lol:
