Have you seen these on motorcycles? They have a neat look to them at night, for about five minutes until the novelty wears off. I saw one last night, and it did catch my eye.

I've seen discussions that state it's not recommended. Other than looking too ghetto, why is that?

I have seen them at the bike shows here in York and in Carlisle. I know Matt saw them there too. He had too. They were every where there. They are pretty cheap and don't look to bad if you ask me. The only down fall would be ppl looking at them at night and not the road when you go past them.

Do Not!!!! I Repeat Do Not!!! Don't Put These On Your Bikes!!!!

They Are Not Rated For Speeds Over 100mph!!! Not To Mention That It Can Throw Off Your Balance!!!

What Happens, Is As Your Going Down The H/w At 150mph, This 2 Once Weight On Your Valve Stem Is Pulling Back On Your Valve Stem, And Then Eventually.........

Pop!!!! Your Valve Stem Is Plucked Right Out Of Your Rim!!! Not You Have A Instant Blow Out Or Flat Tire At Highway Speeds And Possibly Your Front!!!!

Not!!!!!!! A Good Thing!!!!

these are not recommended any more than using the flouresent light kits under your cars.. unless ur at a show, why bother.. all we need is another reason for the cops to take a second look at us..

its all "look at me, im cool" thing.... just let your bike and ur riding do the talking for you..pretty lights never helped you win a race. :skep:

My uncle had a set on his kart for racing at night. They looked pretty sweet. I'm not sure about putting 'em on a bike though.
Becca, I obviously wasn't clear enough! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT ON YOUR BIKE!!! :bash: :2cents:

When it's standing still or say in a parade? I will definitely heed your warning about the high speed stuff, but I don't see what harm it could do at low speeds.

not really gonna do alot at low speeds, but just the idea of putting extra pressure on ur valve stems at all, could cause problems over time. If you're gonna enter ur bike in a show, then thats different, IMO..but even just to put them on around town..well, u know how we riders love to just take off on a jaunt at the spur of the moment, and well.... u know..

That's what I'm saying about the un-planned 150mph jaunt!!!

But the only problem with the bike show is that MOST of these need something to bounce them to make them light up...

PLEASE BE CAREFULL WITH THESE!!!

Ok;
last year I picked up a 3/8 bolt in the front tire on the freeway at around 80mph. (near instant flat)

There was a slight curve ahead that I can take 100+ normally.

The steering got stiff than hard then really sloppy.
I thought I was going down before I could navigate to the shoulder to even figure out what was wrong.

Now imagine that same hole with out a bolt in it! :sob:
