I dialed the brake lever down to "1" and the lever travel is still too much; it's practically to the grip. I need all the leverage I can to get the front stopped. It DOES stop fine, but with too much effort.

There are no leaks, the reservoir is full... I don't get it. Why all of the sudden?

I bled the system about 2.5 years ago, is it time to do it again?

I try and change the fluid every spring, while others say you only need to do it every 2 years. Either way, yeah its definately time shan.

This is also a good time to consider braided steel lines if you don't already have them.

Twisty is right... it's not the pads... however, if you're going to pay attention to the brakes check those while you're down there!

Some steel braided lines would help too! i would change out the fluid either way. Make sure you bleed the caliper, the brake lines, and the banjo bolt!

I just recently did a fluid change on my bike...do it every year.... and got some air in the caliper. Had to take them off, pump the brakes till they were out almost all the way, then bleed them backwards thru the bleeder bolt. BAM, they got nice and hard again!
