Here is the ultimate dream bike. This guy took a reg Busa and put $54,000 into it and came out with 575Hp at the rear wheel. Holy [email protected]*t. For that money, why not just buy a jet and have fun. LOL I wonder how fast he will be able to get it up to? Now that is a true and true rider there. And a broke one. :smilelol:

You're not going to get a lot of jet for $54K... unless you're talking just the engine.

Yeah, where are the pics of this beast?

I will get some pics of it on here tonight for you guys. Stay tuned and keep checking. :)

Also..I made a mistake, it only has 526Hp. He has it now trying to get 575 out of it. It is geared for 240mph and can power wheelie at 175. Duh..it better be able to. LOL I'd be pretty upset if it couldn't power wheelie for $54,000 at 175mph. :)

first of all..how in the hell are you even going to be able to start out, and not wheelie everytime..talk about throttle control..SHEESH..

I guess if you have the money to do it, and you have that much time on your hands..why not..

I still say buying the jet engine would be better. Either way, your not going to be able to use the full power of either. The bike or the engine. Atleast later you can put the jet engine in a cage and use it to its full power. LOL

Give me that bike, I'll see what it can do or try my hardest doing so. :)

talk to Jay Leno, he's got a Y2K ride..jet engine...similar to this one....awesome power but its not all there at the start, takes time to gradually build up speed..but hell, just to say you have one, is an accomplishment.

You're talking about the turbo Busa that was featured in Sport Rider this month aren't you?

When you see what they had to replace to make that power you understand why the thing cost $54K to mod.

That would be the one I am talking about. It looks great. I still want to know if he has got it to 240mph yet or even close?? :)

getting to 240 mph isnt that hard on a turbo busa, especially with the work they've done it....they'll do 200 mph right outta the crate as it is.

I don't know about that. The resistance provided by air does not have a linear relationship with speed. Therefore, those last 40mph are a lot harder and take a lot more power than you might think.

And then you need to slow the thing down and not die

i agree totally...anything over 200mph is a beastly accomplishment no matter what your ride is..no doubt..however as beastly a bike as a busa is, getting it over 240 isnt that hard modification wise..but actually having the guts to do it..now thats something else..

and yeah, somehow stopping that beast is probably a good thing to get a handle on at some point. :D

Getting it up to that speed wouldn't scare me...Its the slowing it down and staying in one piece. :D

Ed Traylor was shooting for 600+rwhp on his at about 40psi. He hit 400+ at 13psi I think.

What kind of rush is that hitting 400+mph. Talk about a speed junkie. :D

Where the heck is he? He lives here in Huntsville I believe?!
He lives in Alabama, I know that. . he was getting it ready for the Dyno wars earlier this year and he blew the motor, but still got 3rd. He hasn't been online much lately, he was stopping by Banned Camp every now and then for a while. You might be able to get in touch w/ him through PM. . there are a couple people at CF that know him in person, but I can't remember who they are besides Paul Scarpelli.
