I was looking at some exotic bikes, the Suzuki RG 500 Gamma and Yamaha RZ 500. Both are two strokes, modeled after the Grand Prix racers from the 1980's. They couldn't meet emissions here and were sold in Canada and Europe. I know that current 600's are faster, but that's not the point.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I lusted after these bikes. Plus, I have Castrol two-stroke oil in my blood, and probably some still in my lungs. The problem would be importing from Canada, customs, shipping, taxes and title, and of course avoiding a scam.

Shan has some insight on getting a bike into a the US like your considering doing...I believe he got his SV from canada, if im not mistaken..

Captain..I definately wouldnt count on that cash, especially if you offered for him to just pay the difference and now all of the sudden he wants to buy the bike.

would you still make out in the deal if u sued him?

Well, all of the other bidders (for the price I'd be willing to sell for) are no longer interested for one reason or another, so the bike will just sit and wait anyway. But to be honest, I wasn't ACTUALLY going to sue him, just wanted to see if I could scare him into paying. ;)

yeah i kinda figured a threat is better than nothing :yesnod:...so we'll see. I really hopes this goof comes thru..

oh, and john, does it have the yellow wheels too on the cbr! ;)
