Can I put ZX636 Devil cans on FJ1200

Hey there

I have access to a cheap pair of Devil Carbon cans that are about 1/2 the physical size of my stock monsters.

I know I'll have to make up link pipes but knowing zip re exhaust tech. was wondering what some of you guys think.

I'm thinking that seeing as how the max hp of both bikes is similar maybe its feasible. Is it to good to be true.

ps they have the removable baffle which opens the outlet to at least 2 1/2 times the originals size.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough but the question was

"Can I put ZR636 (Doh ZX636) Devil cans on FJ1200"

I'm really just querying whether the Devil cans for a motor 1/2 the capacity of mine will just slip on (with some mechanical help) & purr.

Maybe its a ridiculous question but this little birdy is in the dark.

ps have removed fairing & am transforming her into a naked/streetfighter

OIC... good question but I don't believe I can give you a educated answer...

I will ask this... WHY? Why not just get the right pipe?

Oh, and sense I'm a huge fan of street fighters... I must...

That's what I think... but sometimes I just don't get the desire to try to make the wrong part fit... just me...

Yes , it can be done .........if Devil cannisters slip off mid pipe, cut stock exhaust and slip devil cans over stock mid pipe. Use pipe expander on mid pipe or cannister for snug fit, then clamp........... Opinions are like *******s everyone's got one!

I was thinking the same thing about the cutting... but I wasn't sure if the FJ can would be a slip on or a bolt on style....

The only issue should be making the mid pip fit the stock pip. They maybe different diameter pip and getting the angle right for mounting the cans to the hanger.. As BLACK051K said.

Take the head pip and mid pip to a muffler shop and let them mate it up. Don't use those crappy adaptors from an auto parts store.

If you take it to a muffler shop... they may even be able to flare out the pipe to allow it to slip in and maybe get away from the adapter...

That's it. :dthumb: Plus may even be able to bend for the appropriate angles to meet the hanger.
