When I ride to work it's dark, so I need my clear shield. However, when I leave it's not dark and want my smoke shield. I've gone at dawn with a smoke shield, as long as there is a little light it's not too bad, but I prefer not to.

What's the best way to carry a shield without worrying about scratching it?

That illegal craap about faceshields is just that craap!!! I couldn't believe that when DJ told me that they had that law in PA!! :wtf: Do we really need a law like that!! :cursin:

But, I usually just put on some sunglasses and my clear shield if I know I'm going to be out late. Because when you're riding up 75 and pass the Auburn Hills area, it gets real dark!!!

Like Gas Man said...we have a law in PA about that. It really does stink. But I don't wear it at night anyways.

I would carry it in your tank bag or backpack if you have one Shan.

I just bought a Fieldsheer visor bag from motorcycle-superstore.com

I haven't recieved it yet, but it looks like it should work pretty good. Gotta work better than just putting them in my backpack like I do now. Already starting to see a few scratches on them.

In FL it's also illegal to wear the tinted visor at night. I don't wear mine at night anyways cuz I have EXTREMELY poor vision and can't see anything with it on at night (barely struggled guessing through the min required 3rd line on the eye exam to get my drivers license, and that's corrected [20/70 with contacts]). So I just carry the clear one with, or wear my eye glasses so I can leave the visor up
