Hey guys. I was just wondering what the difference was between these bikes and which one do you think is better? I like the 06 CBR and the 05 GSX. Let me know what ya guys think. Thanks!

I've riden the both bikes before and the GSX feels a lot better than the RR. To me the RR feels slower than the GXR but the CBR is faster than the RR. Now on looks alone, personally I like the new R6......:2cents:ebbs15 said::iagree: a 1,000 times over
your other thread was talking about 250's, 500's, and older model 600's... and now your asking about the modern 600s? I really hope your not considering one of these for your first bike... it'd be a HUGE mistake...(not as big as say a busa... but still) in my opinion.
if it's just a general question I appoligize about jumping to conclusions...
I'd vote the GSXR on performance... but the RR on looks...:2cents:
I was talking about the 06 gixxer... more power  :lol:1BadCBR said:I've riden the both bikes before and the GSX feels a lot better than the RR. To me the RR feels slower than the GXR but the RR is faster than the CBR. Now on looks alone, personally I like the new R6......:2cents:
i had a similar dilemma many many years ago. Trying to decide between a gsxr 750 and a zx7. So i purchased both of them... problem solved!Hiimatreehugger said:Hey guys. I'd say if you want something that your not going to swap out get a USED 600 to save more money for your Tallon. definatly not an 06 model... you'll be paying at least a more grand basicly for looks and 2-3 hp.Hiimatreehugger said:These are the only two bikes i like other than the 1996 fzr600. My cuz started out on a 600 and he said its not that bad. I dont plan on showing off or anything like that. I will prolly use it around my neigherborhood for a while till i know for sure i can go out on the streets. All the other bikes ya showed me or i looked at i didnt like at all and i have sat on them and i just dont like the feel of em. Plus i want something i can keep all around. I dont wanna go out and get a bike have it for a year then sell it for something else. I race my awd talon and plan on putting all my money into it so i dont wanna waste a bunch of cash on a bike that im going to sell and spend more money on another one. At the same time i want a bike that will be worth the money and give me the speed and looks that i want.
now i'm a complete noob so I can't share my [nonexistent] experience. the only thing i can say is read this and the second part which i can't find somewhere. I wanted a 600cc (Actually when i first heard of sportbikes i was like, "Cool, Hayabusa!") but after reading that it changed my mind. it might not change yours, but check it out anyway, its well crafted.Hiimatreehugger said:I dont plan on doin anything crazy for the time being. Im not one of them guys that are going to show off when I dont know anything so I think that if I start out slow on the 600cc I should be fine. im not going to push the limits till I know im good enough to do so.
Before I even read these other posts i have to reply. My thoughts exactly! And it's exactly what I did. And i'm soo glad I did. Now I'm a good rider with a great bike that I won't have to sell to get a better one (if my interest rate wasn't gonna sky rocket-no comments please. This is a legit thread). Go with a new one. It's a 600 and is pretty easy to get use to...eventually. Just take it around the neighborhood until you feel comfy on it. Practice your wrist control. Make sure your wrist stays put when you turn.Hiimatreehugger said:These are the only two bikes i like other than the 1996 fzr600. My cuz started out on a 600 and he said its not that bad. The article you referred to is well stated and just repeats what most of us have said for years.crazyclown1337 said:now i'm a complete noob so I can't share my [nonexistent] experience. the only thing i can say is read this and the second part which i can't find somewhere. just my $.02
If you like CBR's, take a look at the 1999 CBR 600F4. It was one of the best all-around 600's ever made. The NADA value is between $3-4K.Hiimatreehugger said:ok ill look into some of them other models. I need to get something thats newer than a 98 because i need to get a lone from the bank. Also if i get a lone from the bank the least i can get for a lone would be 5k. So i was lookin for a bike around 5-6 grand.
