i am going to get the 2006 GSXR 600 or 750 i haven made my mind on that yet but one of those for sure ................. and it had nothing to do with you guys criticizing the hayabusa it is just more offordable for ME to get (not anything comming in the way of expenses from the mother) and with suzuki card i can get just liability and not just full coverage

Ok, again, not to sound like a prick but... Better to shop around for used! Especially if you are going the liability only route... you would be majorly pissed if you trashed a brand new bike and still had 4 years of payments to make on it!

and GM. I myself got burned out on the SV, I also wanted to move to something else, but as for bull...I'm not so sure that is a good idea for him to move on just yet.

a few years, but a s##t load of miles per year., plus I never really took a break in the winter. If it was 30 degrees and sunny I was out riding.

I would say the 750 is out as well. It is almost as much as a 1000 or Busa. The 6 isn't that big of a step for the money. Why not just stick with the SV for a little longer?

Unless you are going to the track on weekends or want to impress your friends, why get a new Gixxer? I can think of at least 10 used bikes that would be better for use on the street. Plus, you can learn how to work on the bike. Why not impress your mom by showing her how smart and mature you are by buying a used bike at 1/3 the price?

And by your "changed my mind" title, I thought it was about the Marines.

I was thinking the same thing. Hes not goin to listen. He'll get what he wants( if he even gets it) and we will hear about it later when he is telling us he crashed it. Its to much bike for him. But hey, I am not him mommy nor daddy so let them take care of it and handle it. :disapp:

But seriously, at least youre not getting a 1300cc bike, no matter what youre thinking is.

Generally, If you go used, work on it youself, youll have much better appreciation for your things :yesnod:

Well...I bought an 05 gixxer 600 in november.

I took out only liability coverage because here in NY...and being 21...that alone is costing me 1k per year.

However....I purchased a total loss protection plan for my bike for 1700.00 that is factored into my 5-year loan. That covers me if the bike is totaled or stolen. I get 5k in the event of either happening.

if i drop the bike at 30mph down the road...well that expense is on me.....but im covered for liability and if the bike is totaled or stolen.

otherwise...i was quoted at 3200 for full coverage....NY SUCKS!!!!

i pay 3500 per year for my truck too!!

I must say that even though I have been riding dirtbikes and quads and snowmobiles. (not to mention having a 500rwhp cobra at 20).....my mindset toward riding has changed ALOT.

at 16-17...your probably going to be too concerned with impressing people and you are going to get hurt BAD!!! wait a couple of years....and buy it with your own money!!!! then you will respect it more! I know I do!
