So I'm gonna need some insurance, I'm only getting liability, and I want like a 5K deductible, basically just need the coverage to ride legally (proof of insurance) any suggestions? My auto ins. co. doesn't do bikes. Progressive? Any other ideas?

I've got an SV650S which, I'm fairly certain, isn't even considered an SS, and the cheapest I've been able to find anywhere else is 1087/yr. Many people have stated that they have 500/yr or less at SF. I have been lazy and haven't gone to them for a quote yet, but will be soon.

state farm had a good rate but they wanted to rape me on auto!! So the bike has progressive. It's like $22 a month (liability w/higher limits) with a so-so driving record. Even though I wrecked my bike it's still gonna be cheaper for me to fix than the $200+ a month full coverage premium everyone else wanted to charge!!!
