Honda NC30!!! :smash: Gray market bike - never sold in the US as far as I know. It might be a little small for me, but I was talking with my wife about what a great bike it would be for her if she decided to start riding. Only 400cc, small, light, and quick.

Turns out the bike is only about an hour and a half away (probably two-and-a-half if I take all the twisty backroads ;) ). If I can find a local number for the guy, I'm going to give him a call and try to go see it today. Perfect day to take the Double R for a spin anyway.

Will do.

I'd love to find an old RC30 or RC45 for myself. I'll have to probably settle (if you want to call it that) for a custom RC51 though... ;)
Yeah, I'd hate to have to see you end up with a custom RC51, what a bummer ;)

I love the SSS as well, and I assume those are a custom job on the rims as I dont know that they ever made them stock w/ red...Nice!!!

Sometimes the biggest gems are right under our noses. :)

When I finally decide to get a new bike, probably next Spring, I'm going to start with an RC51 that's a couple years old, with low miles. The reason I don't want a new one is that I'm going to have it painted immediately (hate the stock paint scheme) and I can't justify painting a brand new bike.

I'll go with a pretty conservative paint job, one, maybe two colors. Either red, or red/white. Polished frame, and either polished or white wheels. Aftermarket exhaust, fender eliminator, and that'll be it.

I'd like to replace the upper fairing with one from an RC45 (love the dual round headlights), but I don't know if I'd even go that far.

Yeah, I have 'em on my 900RR.

We'll see. To be honest, I'm not sure I want her to ride on two wheels. The other drivers here are very bad...
yeah I hear ya on the other drivers...my wife wants to take the MSF course in the spring and then get a bike, but she's real nervous about it but wants to do it. I think im more worried about her than she is about herself...but atleast she's starting out the right way w/ the course.
