Very true! But I strongly recommend against buying anything that you haven't tried on. I have did it in the past and got lucky but it's not a good idea!!

get the most high-end glove that you could afford

almost all gloves with rip a part if you slide on them

when you crash, use your forarm and elbow to keep your self up when sliding
:here:
This is a stated thing I believe, not one from expierence. I wish Twisty was here to comment but my :2cents: will have to do.

When I went down with the deer thing! I was thrown, and rolled and 3 things happened.

1. My head/helmet never touched the ground.
2. My elbows & forearms touched the ground but only barely.
3. It didn't suck as much I you would think!

OK, somebody passed this photo along to me to prove my point that you really aren't going to pur your hands down that much.

It looks like Zemki is trying to "stop" himself with his hands NOT! Notice the hand position in this picture. But of coarse, what would a pro like Zemki know anyways? :skep:

:2cents: :sorry:

Oh, yeah, you'll use them to keep from rolling but you won't use them to slow down. You'll use your elbows for that.

It is just a matter of instinc not what you "think" you want!
