My clutch lever was squeeking today. I sprayed some lube into the pivot, but it still squeeked. I took the pivot bolt out. It was dirty, but it and the brass bushing in the lever were good. It is a hydraulic clutch and has a push rod connected to another brass bushing. That bushing was gummed up. Cleaned the bushing with a scotch-brite pad and lubed everything with HCF grease by BG. It works great now. If your clutch lever is sticking and you've lubed the cable, check the pivot bolt.
