i keep having to bleed clutch on my busa. anyone else have this prob? everything is tight. im pretty sure its a small leak somewhere but kinda clueless on where. cleaned and inspected everything from disassembling mc to the cylinder that pushes the clutch rod in

I know allot of the RSV's have a problem with air in the boot for the master cylinder. Those guys poke a hole in it. I don't know if its the same on the Busas or not.

I don't own a busa, but I sat on three 2006's at the motorcycle show yesterday. My favorite was the white one, but I also liked the blue one. My CBR has a hydraulic clutch so I'm kinda familiar with 'em. Fluid isn't escaping, but air is getting in? How is the gasket on the master cylinder cover? How about the copper washers between the banjo fitting and the slave cylinder? Because it's so cheap, I would replace the bleeder. Maybe it was cranked down too much. If you have a speed-bleeder, I would replace it, I don't trust them.

Good suggestions... The banjo bolts should be a cheap PM/repair as well.

gaskets and everything is fine. does have bleeder but its all new stuff. bought bike with 200miles. local busa drag racer said to go to cable clutch. dont really want to tho. not leakin any fluid anywhere. but ya its gettin air in lines or something.

final results

ended up being seal on slave cylinder. service guy at dealership said prbly from sittin for almost 2 yrs unused.

I have an 2005 and I have never had any trouble with that problem. My problem is the idler has to be adjusted about every 1500 miles tends to vibrate loose and idle down to about 800 rpms. It sucks when it happens roll to a stop at the light pull the clutch in and bike dies. I am going to replace the whole idler system to see if it solves the problem.

Can't you just put a lock nut or somin on it... maybe start a thread on that problem and see if we can't get some ideas flowing... but of coarse bring some pics...
