Once I get the radiator back on the ole horse, do you guys have any coolant that you would recommend my putting in, or should I just stick with something like Prestone?

TIA

When I go pick up the R1 this weekend I need to drain the distilled water out of the radiator so I am going to try this stuff called elf moto coolant mineral I don't know if it's any good or not but I have 5 quarts of it here at home that Todd from 2 wheel tuner magazine gave me last year.

I forwarded some info on it to the guy I'm buying the R1 from and he said it looks like some good stuff. I'll post up the PDF spec sheet and web address here in a second.

Nice! I will be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
I shall find out Saturday, but it's still going to be cold here in PA for a little bit longer. I guess I'll really find out how well it works on those 80+ degree days.

I've heard nothing but good things about Engine Ice. Do a google for it.
Cycle Logic Engine Ice.... nothing else! I promise you'll love it. It lowered the operating temp in my 9R by about 15-20 degrees!

For tires...nuttin but Powers.

For coolant...nuttin but Engine Ice!

Here's a good place to order it from

i've used redline water wetter on my track bikes. it does not contain antifreeze, so don't use it in siberia.
never tried that ice yet. i'll give that a try in a few weeks.

while you're at it, check into converting to dot5 brake fluid. i've used that also on my trackbikes.

I've got engine ice in mine as well... works like a champ!! :dthumb: Also if you do any trackdays, gotta have it (or something like it... no antifreeze allowed)
