yeah I knew that, but thats what the description on top of the video said, but I didn't want to change it. I hear about vettes all the time since my older bro bought one....that's all he talks about. He just lets his motorcycle and Z28 sit in the garage... he talks about getting a new gsxr.... I don't know what he's thinking.

I still couldn't drive around in that thing knowing that anytime a 60 thousand dollar American car could smoke me. There has to be a stroy behind that.
Like the Lambo blowing past after about 180.

Yeah, there was no way the Lambo was getting smoked that bad. the Z06 is no joke though.
:iagree: IDK the numbers but, that is an entry level Lambo (still way to expensive) and it should top out a little higher than the Z06. The Vette might not have been stock either.

boyz...listen up!!!!

heres the story behind it....since you all seem a little confused!

That vette was BONE stock.

The Gallardo had a tubi exhaust system and otherwise stock.

Gallardo: 5.0L V-10 500hp @ 7800rpm / 376 lb/tq TOP SPEED 196mph
1/4 12.0-12.2 @ 118-120mph

Z06: 7.0L V-8 505hp (more like 530hp) / 470 lb/tq TOP SPEED 197mph
1/4 11.6-11.7 @ 127mph

As you can see...the vette has more hp and ESP torque and weighs about the same. The vettes motor is CRAZY! And everyone claims the motor is underrated at 505hp because stock motors are acheiving 470rwhp off the floor.

The Gallardo is more of a competitor to BMWs new M5 with the 507hp V-10...whereas the M5 is quicker than the lambo from 0-150mph!!!!!

The lambo is quick....but the new Z06 can take it easily!!!

from a dig...the outcome would be worse for the gallardo as long as the Z06 could stick the launch!!!!

I knew it was close but thought the Lambo toped at just over 200mph.

Nope...maybe when modified..

You guyz must be thinking of the Murceilago...not the gallardo.

Not EVERY exotic car does 200mph+....most are in the 185-195mph range.

The gallardo is said to have a top speed of 196mph for 2005...the 2004 model had a top speed of 192mph.

The new Z06...can rip the gallardo apart with the right driver.....stock vs. stock...the Z06 is a faster car both in straightline speed as well as around the track.

BTW....the Z06 was only 9.5 seconds behind the 400k Porsche Carrera GT at the Nurburgring (13.5mile) track. and it was faster than the Porsche 911 GT3....thats pretty impressive for a Corvette to handle better than an all out Porsche!!!!

yep....11.6-11.7 @ 127mph 197mph top speed and 1.2gs on the skidpad!!!!!
