Denver is still a cow town and not just because the 100th annual National Western Stock Show starts today. They have hogs, horses, cattle, goats, rabbits, fowl, and goats being judged, for sale, and on display. They have dog pulls, dog agility, sheep shearing, fiddle contests, antique tractors, miniature horses, pro rodeo events every day, cowboy and cowgirl attire, mutton riding (for the kids, get your mind out of the gutter), and of course, barbecues and beer.
It's the region's biggest winter event and goes on for two weeks. They even interviewed a prostitute on TV. She said "Honey, if you're in my business and ain't in Denver for the stock show, then you is plain dumb." Am I going there? You bet, yahoo, watch what you step in, and make mine medium-rare thank you.
