ADS FOR EBAY AUCTIONS

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7007509553&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&rd=1

I have some motorcycle magazines, books and memorabilia for sale on Ebay. Click the link above to one item and then hit “View sellers other items”.

Motocourse--I have a perfect copy of the 1988-1989 motorcycle grand prix annual Motocourse. This is a like new copy of ultimate yearly wrap-up of the world of motorcycle roadracing. It focuses on the World Grand Prix championship, but also covers the major series around the world, including the AMA Superbikes. Lawson, Schwantz, Rainey, Kocinski, Polen, Gardner, Doohan, etc.

Road Racer Illustrated—This short-lived magazine was published July ’88 to Nov. ’89. Focused on Americans in the Grands Prix and the AMA championships. Lots of glossy photos, race track reporting and interviews. Covers a golden period of American racing stars along with the other greats: Lawson, Schwantz, Rainey, Kocinski, Polen, Gardner, Doohan, etc. Sold along with the following: Road Racer Illustrated Annual—1990,’91, ‘92 After they stopped the bimonthly magazine, they continued to put out a year-end wrap up of the roadracing world. Beautiful, glossy photos of all the stars in action.

1989 Daytona 200 By Arai Program & Ticket, w/ Souvenir Patch—Highlights the roadracing at the road course stadium. Also covers all the other racing taking place that week—dirt track, Supercross, etc. Souvenir Patch commemorates Race Week and the 200 and is still attached to the cover.

Cycle Guide magazine—37 issues. From Dec. 1983 until they ceased publication with “Fall”1987. They only printed 11 issues per year during these years. Missing 4 months.

Cycle magazine—69 issues. Nov. 1983 to Oct. 1989. Only missing one issue from Nov. 1983 until they merged with Cycle World after the Oct. 1989 issue.

Soon, I hope to have 22 years of Cycle World and Motorcyclist up also. Thanks. Steve [email protected]

Gas Man--Hey, thanks for the better link! The mags have been fun to have around. They don't take up much space when they're all stacked up. I've used 'em a lot for researching used bikes for myself and friends. I don't know why I got the urge to move things out. Thanks for the welcome!

It was a sad day when Cycle Guide and Cycle stopped publishing. I have them plus Motorcyclist and Cycle World from 1977 through 1995. They only take up three shelves so I ain't selling mine yet. Those old magazines not only have great bike tests and hop-up articles, they also have great motorcycle stories. But like Gas Man once said, the young kids don't want the older bikes.
