I ride with low beam and a modulator. It gets people's attention much better than high beams can...

I used to ride highs all the time during the day until getting stuck in traffic with them on started killing my battery. Bikes don't charge up well until about 3K
I just never like the damn high beam indicator light always being on.:2cents:

on my bike ( i don't know why they did this ) but the low beam is the left side and the right side is the high, so if i ride with only low, it looks like i have a light out (and everyone who see's me says, "hey, you have a light out"), so what i've done is adjust the hi-beam to hit really low on the pavement, and i ride with both on all the time. i took it around the block on hills and stuff riding behind my friend, and he says it's low enough not to hurt. still get good visibility.

they make a combiner harness for that.

Yeah but the combiner is a bad idea. The whole point of the seperate headlights is to make each more effective, becasue they can have the reflectors and bulbs for each side specifically. The combiner may make both come on, but the high beam side will still be reflected differently, and will just make it look like you have 1 bright and 1 regular.

I never understood that either... that's one nice thing about my ZZR600... both on low... both on High... and they're BRIGHT... brighter than my Trucks! lol
