I dont think it said how fast he was actually going, unless I missed it..but he had to moving pretty nicely to fly off and skid that far..not to mention splitting the deer..

I dont think I'd have the guts or "brains" to just keep on gunning it when I see a deer Im about to hit...Im lockin up the back wheel and grabbing all the front brake I can w/out flipping over to try and stop...ever mph less is less im gonna gonna go skipping down the road on my arse!

Ive hit the occasional squirrel, chipmunk, bunny..b/4 while riding...even schmushed a snake once...but a taurus, nah, cant say I've ever hit a bull before.

So you know that I haven't hit a deer Gasman? Wow. That is funny because I have been in the same situation with 6 full size deer and I aimed for the middle and when I got there it took off. So yeah I have been there. I just got lucky. I have been there with a dog, a possum, a racoon. Got lucky on all of them - aimed right for them and they took off. One time it didn't work and luckily it was a squirrel that about flung my off my enduro. In my truck or car its a different story though - I chase them offroad because I got to eat. Why do you think I ALWAYS carry a knife?

I gotta admit..that takes some balls to aim right for the ****ers!!! but hey, if it works, and God knows I hope I dont run into this situation anytime soon, I'll keep it in mind..but my gut reaction is still too grab a handfull of brakes and hope to god they move or I can stop/swerve in time.

Ah hell, why aim for the middle of the deer. Don't grab all the brake you can...just grab all the throttle you can, pull up the front wheel and hope you knock him or her over and just ramp it. :dthumb:
