We just lowered the upper bow section of the ship into place...3/15/06

This is the part that is under water and you never see. The trash dumpsters on the pier beside are 48ft. simi trailers.

They are actually starting to erect the world's second largest crane outside my plant in the coming months. I will get some pics when it starts getting big enough to take pictures of it from outside the gated fence.

The addition of the upper bow completes the flight deck and extends the overall length of the carrier to its full size, which is as long as the Empire State Building is tall.
