Share your experiences. Did you take MSF so you didn't have to take the state test?

I took the state test (AZ) and it was pretty easy, riding around some cones. The toughest part was the 100 degree weather.

Took the MSF in Alabama (required to ride on base).
Back then 1983 Abalama didn't require a MC endorsement.

Then I was transferred to Colorado and took the road test there. It was very simple compared to MSF, just had to ride around in circles and thru cones w/o putting your feet down for the road test.

I took the DMV test. I almost failed because I took a friend bike and didn't even know where the Signal switches were (883 Sportster) I almost put my foot down on the slow ride. (to slow)

I took the MSF course 'cause I figured it would be more useful and informative. Not having to take the DMV test was a great perk, though.
