Do you clutch on upshifts?

I'm still relatively new to street bikes, so this is new to me. A couple friends that used to race say they never clutch on upshifts when they're racing or getting on it, only on down shifts, which makes sense.

My bike has been apart since they told me this so I haven't had a chance to try it. They say to just roll off the throttle about 50% and pop the next gear, and then back to WOT.

No cluch for me on upshifts and really fast corners I down shift with no cluch as well. I could get into a huge spread on why it is ok but I'll wont. I had 30K miles on my 2001TLS. I NEVER used the clutch to up shift and hardly to down shift. I dont advise you to do it downshifting because, you get alot of wheel spin but that is ok if your racing or just want to have fun. Plus it is kinda hard on the sproket.
