I know some people who don't. It's not that they don't trust the other person, but if anything should happen, the rider fault or not, it could get ugly.

Then there are others that trade their rides freely all the time. Where do you fit in?

you have to be a VIP to ride my baby. i've only let a handful of people (about 4 i think) take her out alone. i love this bike too much to just let anyone on it. my husband won't let me near his fatboy, even though he rode mine once and i've been riding longer than he has. we're talking my 10 years vs. his 2 yrs. of riding experience. i am almost offended, but then i'm probably not missing much there, am i?

I've swapped bikes before with someone I know and with a bike I wanted to try, but there's no free ride. And no burn-outs. Or wheelies.
I would have to say it would be like No Worries if I did. And there would be, NO, "just let me ride its"!! If you dont have your own you aint wrecking mine.

The list of people I would let take my bikes out alone is very very small. Some time I have a bike with low replacement value that I have offered to friends to ride when theirs was broke or even temporarily with out. (like G Man)
My newer and or liter bikes are reserved for trusted and experienced friends only. Usually with me following behind them on their bike.

I have a you break it you buy it policy on mine. I always let others ride my bike but only if they have a bike of there own. Im not good enough to do the stuff that the bike was built to do. I feel bad for the bike, so I let others open it up and do some wheelies.

I have only let my brother ride it. He is the one that got me riding and he also helped me out a lot. I would not let anyone else ride my bike.

OK Jeeps on your next run north drop one of yours off... I'll take you up on that ride! :D

I always had this belief...

If I ride your bike and I wreck it.. you ride mine while I get yours fixed... and vise versa!

Also, it depends on the guy. I knew a few guys that I would let ride my 9R if they asked but not just anybody!

Since I have owned the bike 3 people have ridden it: A friend of mine who helped me tow it around town when it wasnt running (obviously he rode it around after it started to run), My Dad, and ME. Thats about it for that. Now, if someone wants to swap bikes for a ride, I MIGHT consider that. But its highly unlikely. Other than that, its just me and me only.

Very short list...I will let a few ride my bike, those who own sportbikes, but I am not going to let some cruiser boat-anchor captain fall and get hurt on my bike. I don't worry about the bike, I have insurance and can buy replacement parts or another bike.
