So far I have been winter riding. Wearing my long underwear from snowboarding, a balaclava, and normal head to toe gear I am perfectly warm. No reason to stop riding unless there is some snow or ice.

A lot of the recent winters here haven't had too much snow... just cold and dry... no reason not to ride then, just gotta gear up :dthumb:

If you have decent gloves, 40 is nothing. Throw on a turtle neck on under my jacket and I'm set to 20. I'm still missing the gloves though.

turtleneck, i def need one of those. ive got an icon motorhead jacket which looks Badass but its collarless so it lets in all kinds of cold even with the liner installed. we rode all the way across the state yesterday to visit the ONE sonic in jersey and i was feelin mighty stiff by the time we got back

Yeah- turtleneck is nice there. Just pull the top into the bottom of your lid, and it's great. But when you get where your going, that tall collar can be a drag. I've been looking for an Underarmour shirt with a tall enough collar with a zipper. That chit's expensive!
