I have seen thows. And I just wander if putting the max tounge weight on your hitch and hitting the open hiway is a good thing. T hitches are for pulling. Most dont recommend over 3 to 400 lbs of tounge weight. Even though they can pull 10,000 lbs. The physics of supporting a bike that large is to much of a thin line for me.
I would put a dirt bike on it. But never my Street bike.

I have the mototote version....(click my two wheel photos) it fits a clas III or above hitch (square). dont have a pickup truck, but personaly I'd go with buying a ramp for your truck since you already have one, much safer. :dthumb:

I just didnt want to drop 30-40k on a new truck just to haul bike around, but when it comes time for me to get a new car...definitely will be getting a truck..now that I ride.

Two weeks ago, I was hauling my bike on the tote to the shop and when I was unloading, while releasing the rathchets, the bike leaned hard towards the rear glass of my suv and shattered it (handle hit my window).

If you decide to go with this option and dont have a hitch yet, Id go with a class 4 hitch if your truck can handle that.

One could get a Motorcycle trailer for the same price. (or less)
You already have a hitch I would assume if your sticking that in there. :2cents:

You can buy a desent trailer for about $600-$700 and it will haul 2 bikes!

That thing is garbage! I would never put my bike on that! :nonod:

The problem with that setup is, the straps are almost straight up and down. That puts allot of stress on the straps. When in a truck or on a trailer, the straps have an angle that relieves allot of stress. I watched a R1 fall off one of those. It wasn't pretty. If you use that thing. Make sure you use quality ratchet straps.

Ya it just isn't a good setup at all...many things wrong with it! Seen a busa before on one!! Sorry for the pic quality... it was in my truck..driving down the highway at 80mph and taken with a camera phone...all while pouring rain!

I am furtunate I have two trailers. I have two Front tire mounts that have the bolts welded on them and the trailers are each drilled to except these and I use wing nuts on the bottom side for easy on and off so I can use the trailers for other needs When necessary. The Eyebolts stay on both trailers for straping in anything. A friend I work with has a brand new 4X8 trailer he wants to sell me for $200.00. I am thinking of makeing it a center single rail bike trailer just for My FZ incase I every trek off somewhere to ride. Not sure yet. I dont really need it but I would like to have a dedicated trailer for the bike. :dthumb:
