So you're sitting at work with a picture of your bike on your desk, or maybe you have one in your locker? Maybe you ride to work and somebody comes up to you and says, "why dont u ride a real bike?" or why don't you ride a harley ? I'd never ride "one of those" they're way to dangerous!!

Does it ever get to you, to the point you wanna start and beat some sense into them? or do u just let it roll off your back ?

I don't let it bother me and go on. Its what they think...not me. I ride them for me and not to impress someone.

I just tell them to go get their real bike and try and keep up. If it's a Harley person...I ask them if they got an oil drip pan free of charge when they bought their bike. They don't like that!!! Or I ask them if I can go get my riding lawn mower and we'll race!!!! Something smart arse to really piss them off because it doesn't bother me one bit what they say but I love to see them get pissed.

I hate that label because some many people have a negative outlook on that name!! :cursin: That all we do is speed down the h/w, cut people off, split lanes, and do stunts on public streets....OK OK!! So we DO do all that stuff! But it still bothers me! Reason being, is because we, at least WOS, do stuff to give back to the community!

Very true gas man.... some people are so stereotypical though it doesn't really matter what good you do, in some peoples eyes you'll still be the bad guy regardless just because you're part of that 'group'. Same goes for being racist, predjudice (sp?), sexist, etc. Some people are simply too stupid and narrow minded to be able to understand that just because some people in a certain group are doing bad things, it doesn't necessarily mean everybody in that group is doing the same thing. They're just judging the group, not the individual. I find it quite pathetic to see grown mature adults acting this way, but you still see it allll the time :nonod:

One day when i parked in a mall parking lot and a guy walking with 2 kids, who just saw me at an intersection do a [small non impressive] wheelie says, "your gonna kill yourself", and then his kids both immediately start raving about how AWESOME it was!! they made there dad feel like a jerk for saying anything! LOL

I usually ask them what kind of bike they ride and when would they like to go for a ride. If they make some kind of, "they're too dangerous." or they don't ride, I usually say to myself, loud enough for them to hear, "Some people have to talk about SH!T they know nothing about because they like to hear their own voice."

i like the Crotch Missile quote.. next time someone says that to me im gonna say "Nah, rockets are slow, mines a missile" lol and otherwise it doenst bother me, the fact they compare my transportation for a extremely fast and lethal weapon just says something for how i live... Why drive a Metro and shoot a .22 long rifle when u can ride a "Crotch rocket" and shoot a .308 Magnum rifle. And ya chicks dig guys with [email protected] so if all they gotta do is see it and think i ride fast and stupid without having to actually be stupid then great...lol
