No it's not a cross-dresser!!
Hey all. I just got back from the Suby dealership. I told them of my bike buying desires (fast street 0-60, 1/4 mile max speed, but sunny day joy riding with quick blasts as a priority). They showed me an installed package for a 6" longer swing-arm, 250mm "avon" (sp?) "street-drag" type tire, lowering, and electronic 1st gear/top-speed eliminator. They're willing to sell it (with full warranty) for 15k out the door (16k for an '05 vs the '04).
What do you all think?
I'm not as into stunting (it'll still wheelie) or hard-core leans/turns, but am looking for max 0-60/80/100.
Sounds REALLY cool (and looks it too!)

Thanks. Do you think the swing-arm/lowering would make a big difference in drag speed for an average rider? Or just looks and a waste of money for acceleration.
ps Can you really harness the 'Busa's speed without/with it???

BJ.... I'm not for the extended swingarms and can't stand most Busa's.. but yes, the extended swingarm will definately help with 1/4 mile launches.

Also, WELCOME!!! :twfrox:

Yeah, it will definitely help for traction - 1/4 mi times, but it will also affect the handling of the bike.

If your REALLY into drag racing that's fine, otherwise you'll get ALL the acceleration you need stock.... at least I do with mine. And fun in the canyons too.
