Daylight Savings Time stinks, it's 5pm and it's pitch black. It's actually been dark for some time. WHen it's cloudy it gets darker faster.

Who came up with this antiquated time management system? They don't observe it in AZ where I lived 11 years.

Seriously, it's dark when I go to work and it's dark when I come home. Maybe it was good for farmers in 1895, but this is insane.

I didn't start it. But I can tell you about it since I can't give the answer to Gas Mans question. LOL

We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. If you live near the equator, day and night are nearly the same length (12 hours). But elsewhere on Earth, there is much more daylight in the Summer than in the Winter. The closer you live to the North or South pole, the longer the summers. Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) is not helpful in the tropics, and countries near the equator do not usually change their clocks. A 1976 survey of 2.7 million citizens in New South Wales found 68% liked daylight saving.

What we need to do is now move to the equator so we don't have to play around with the clocks. LOL And I beleive it started back in WWI.

I hate daylight savings time..What a crock..the season times are just fine the way they are..why mess it up and screw up what little riding we have left as it is!!!!!!!! uke:

I drove through Tucson one time, not knowing that AZ didn't observe DST. I thought it was too early for the middle lane to change direction (they change the middle lane's direction for rush hour) and almost got into several accidents before I found out the right time.

A good portion of Indiana doesn't change over to DST, but unfortunately, we now have an idiot Governor who says that we should change over and he's going to push the change through the legislature. Great, just great.
