I was heading toward Lookout Mt. today when I passed a bus stop. A young lady saw me on the bike and stuck out her thumb. I pointed toward the mountain, almost opposite from where the bus would go. As I turned up the mountain, I felt sorry for her because the buses run infrequently on Sunday. But if I was single, thirty years younger, and had an extra helmet, I would have gone back. Anyone ever pick up a hitchhiker while on their bike?

Nope, never picked up a hitchhiker on the bike. And I won't be doing that now that I have an exhaust hanger made and I can get rid of the passenger pegs. No passengers for me, let her get her own bike if she wants to ride. :D

I still haven't given any passengers rides, but I'll be damned if I ever did it for a hitchhiker. I won't pick 'em up in a car and I certainly wouldn't with a bike. If I ever ride 2-up I will be damned sure of the experience level of the rider behind me and positive that they understand what I want them to be doing.
