I want to get new exhaust for my bike, something a bit louder than my stock pipes and a horsepower increase would be nice (not that I need it). Im thinking about going with Muzzy exhaust although im not sure what to get. Any suggestions are most welcome. :help:

Muzzy is a great choice for that bike. If price is a concern. You may need to consider a slip on/bolt on instead of full system. Also, check out other brands like Scorpion and ART for some killer deals. Don't forget about one of the sit sponsors Speed Werks. They can steer you straight.

I agree with a slip on instead of a whole pipe.
From what i have been told todays sportbikes are so much closer to track ready including the factory header is race tuned. Sure it is not on the pro level but I personally doubt you will feel the power just because you hear a differance. Save the dough and go with a slip on. You will hear what your really after. As far as what one is right for you? get around some. Not many people are going to know how an 06 will sound since they have just came out for the most part.
Imo, I love the rasp of my D&D slip on, on my 1000cc with the stock header. It is a loud azz pipe. :dthumb:

Many of the stock 600's out now can actually loose power with some full exhaust systems..cause the stock headers are designed so well...

I heard a ZZR 600 with a Muzzy 4-1 and can last night. Pretty mellow on idle but sounded good as the rpms rose. Not as loud as D&D but definately not stock. I have a Holeshot pipe on my Bandit 600. I really like it. Looks and sounds top notch, especially above 8000 rpm.

With the same bike,I am going to go with the FMF can (anodized bronze color),(bike's blue w/ bronze rotor webs),I read on they're site they've put alot of reserch into their "square core" design. Supposed to have an aggressive sound but not obnoxious.I put approx. 250 mi. on mine today!!! The weather was PERFECT!!! :dthumb:

One thing to consider out there in Cali is sound level as I heard in area the local police are giving anyone with modified exhausts a hard time and writing tickets :2cents: .

Sport Rider earlier this year did an article that posted decible level per slip on FYI www.sportrider.com

Well, hopefully soon I am getting a Yosh RS-3 stainless back on my bike. Since the 98-02 ZX6r and an 06ZZR600 is pretty much the same, I can give you an opinion. As far as money goes, they are reasonable, and I had the chance to hear a 02 ZX6r with an RS-3 bolt on the other day. Its loud enough, and the tone is deep. I noticed it has a deeper tone than most exhausts I heard, but that may just be me.

The older the pipe. The louder it gets.
Keep that in mind when listening to other bikes.
That would be due to the fact they probably need to re-pack the pipe, right? I noticed that with my dirt bike when I recently re-packed that pipe.

D&D huh? cool. You should post up some pics of your bike now with that can on it :D

Thanks for the advice. I decided to go with a D&D slip on. I hope its not too loud. I almost went with a Yosh. but the price was better on the D&D.
Did you get ear plugs with your purchase?
