I don't think they freeze up in fright.
My dog does the same when i yell at her. She would drop down in submission. Those goats know the person that is screaming/making noise at them. Seems like they too drop into submission (notice the tail wagging like a dog).

I would like to see a stranger do the same thing. I predict that the goats will attack him.

Seen them in person. We had a guy that lived not too far from my house when I was in high school that had a herd of them. We use to go in his field at night and do that too them. It is really funny when you are hammered out of your freakin mind.

not to take away from your story... but isn't EVERYTHING really funny when your hammerd out of your freak'n mind? ;) :lol:

actually, i just saw these on TLC today. and it is when they get scared. its a mental reaction. when they get scared or freaked out, all of their muscles get tightend up. they dont actually lose consciousness, but they look like their dead or passed out...

thatd be great if you could train one to do it on command.

here goaty, play dead. :yikes: lLolL
