I think I just had a revelation - ShanMan14 is not the same person as Kdogg? All this time I thought it was. Kdogg is from bama and posts on WOS - which he hasn't lately - where has he been? and I just assumed the two were one in the same until I saw the copy of the email sent to NS that said "From: Eric". Wow. So do you know Kdogg?
Again, if you're not going to put the crack pipe down at least share!
I bet your WOS meetings are pretty interesting with MP around!! ;)
You could say that if you want! Take MP, Twisty, and a bunch more people wound up about something and them cram them all into one room to "hash" things out! Ya, you could say that...
this MF is so stupid. when i first read his letter i was so pissed. but then i calmed down and really thought about it and this is what i came up with:

he doesnt know sh-t and someone obviously pissed in his cheerios. actually, he probably caught his wife in bed with a biker. secondly, think about all that goes on in the summer. its the prime time for weddings = bachelor parties = drunk driving. we just had two local guys die in a car crash on their way back from a bachelor party just this past sunday. split their car in half. hey buddy, there's your f**kin fresh meat. look at all the b.b.q.'s thrown over the summer. fourth of july. labor day. i could keep going. but i, and himself, have already proven just how truly stupid the human race can be given a bad day and a keyboard. F**k him. :bash:
:damn: :iagree:

But there were 4 locals in the car. :(

Chicago Sun-Times columnist admits he "hit a wasp's nest" with his motorcyclists-as-organ-donors comments
September 29, 2004 – Chicago Sun-Times columnist Neil Steinberg upset a lot of motorcyclists nationwide last week when he characterized riders as organ donors in a column headlined "Hop on a motorcycle, fill out your donor card."

The AMA responded with an e-mail directly to Steinberg, asking for a retraction. And when he refused, we publicized his column on this website, with an opportunity for you to voice your opinions.

Soon, our story was being quoted on other websites, in motorcycling forums and on Speed Channel's "Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain." And your e-mails were flooding the Sun-Times computer system.

By the end of last week, Steinberg had contacted us, saying that he hadn't realized that there was an American Motorcyclist Association, and asking us to give him an education on this issue.

The result? Here's an item that was part of Steinberg's column this morning:

"Every once in a while, in my endearing, oblivious fashion, I swing my journalistic bat and hit a wasp's nest. That was sure the case last week, in my musing on motorcycles and organ donations. It turns out that this is a huge issue with bikers, who seem to divide the world into those who ride and the clueless idiots veering unexpectedly into their lanes. Guess which side I ended up on?

"Nor are their feelings of persecution without substance -- both California and New Mexico this year considered laws that, unbelievable as it sounds, would have forced motorcyclists who were killed in crashes and weren't wearing helmets to donate their organs for transplant, whether they or their families wanted to or not, claiming the lack of a helmet constituted a kind of consent to have their organs harvested.

"As much as I believe that everybody should sign up to be an organ donor -- I do and have -- it has to be voluntary. We don't want the government seizing people's organs against their will."

That's exactly how the AMA felt when we joined with other motorcyclists to defeat those proposals in New Mexico and California.

You sent your message. And it's clear that message was heard.
Yup, we made a difference, small as it may seem in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully he wont make that mistake again..chalk one up for the riders!!

Glad the AMA was around to fight down that law though, helmet or not, nobody has the right to decide what happens to your remains..but you.
:dthumb: 2 pts for MC riders around the world. Don't push your luck with us, because we'll fight back, and sucker punches aren't against our morals!! :D
I am still pissed - that was no bloody retraction or apology - Neil can f'ing blow me that self righteous bloated prick. Let me go throw on 3 pairs of jogging pants, run 2 miles in the dessert sun and then he can blow me. That is BS! What an a-hole.
Im surprised he even admitted being wrong as much as he did!! :bash:
We should just be happy that he did admit that he was wrong. I don't think he will be doing that again anytime soon. :)
