Well I took half the day off to go pickup my bike... but when I got there they guy said they JUST pulled it into the shop... could I pick it up tomorrow... unfortunatly I couldn't... and I didn't really understand why they JUST pulled it in... I told them I'd be picking it up yesterday or today.... funny thing was that's just what he said... uh... well on the ticket it said the 14th or 15th... YEAH... TODAY'S THE 15th! :bash:

anyways... I agreed to come back later and pick it up... so at 6 I go back... and I walk in and they have good news and bad news... the good... my intrest rate was reduced to 6.4... the bad? the battery is dead so they were charging it... again asked if I could pick it up tomorrow... I said no... I'll just pick up the battery tomorrow...

I asked about the rear tire... they found a COUPLE nailes in it... so they put a new one on... no charge:dthumb:

the didn't however include the price of the service in the price of the bike... which I found out AFTER I signed the loan... so that was 295 out there...

and NOW that I get home... my friend who's supposed to bring over his ramp and help me unload it... can't... and I just got called into work... YAY...

so pic's will have to wait till tomorrow after noon...

still after all that... I'm smiling EAR TO EAR BABY!

Yeah... needless to say... after I pickup my helmet (it was part of the deal... though now they're trying to back out on it saying they can't get arai with out ordering 10 a year...:cursin: ) I won't be doing anymore buisness with them... there's another Kaw dealer in Anchorage... who I hear great things about that I'll be dealing with... the whole process of buying this has been one delay after another... and if it wasn't for the fact that I doubt i'll be riding this year anyways... I'd have just skipped the deal...

There's another Kawasaki dealer in Anchorage... and from what I hear... (other riders and even other dealers) they're AWSOME when it comes to customer service... so that'll be where I go from now on... just hope I dont' have the same luck as this last place...:disapp:

Oh I will... they're gonna TRY to get my Arai helmet... but they're still fighting it...so I'm not gonna give them any reason to cancle the order...

on a side note... as I said my friend never showed up so I had to leave my bike in the back of my truck all night... well I drive to work... work (well actually surf the internet but that's not the point) for a couple hours then go to lunch... where I have a message from the service department... apparently they forgot to put the seat bracket that holds the drivers seat down back on... that I should come by and pick it up... well I'm driving when I get this message... anyways... I pull over and sure enough... the seat is just sitting there... one good sized bump and I'm out a drivers seat! so I strap it down and go on my way... after work I go by and pick up the battery... and he hands me a bag of parts... I was like WTF is this? he's like oh.. this is your seat bracket...

now I know a seat bracket isn't that hard but that's not the point... if YOU forgot to put it on... wouldn't you at least OFFER to put it on for me? it's just a little thing but just the way he was pissed me off... :cursin: so I leave... pretty anoyed... I go out to my truck... grab my tool kit from my truck and start re-installing the battery and seat bracket... when that A$$ hole tells me that I can't do any maintnace work in the parking lot... and how if he let everyone do that he'd be out of buisness.... I was like YOUR STUPID A$$ forgot to do something... and I'M FINISHING YOUR JOB!... he stood out there bitching the whole 3 mins it took for me to finish... and I got in my truck and left... UGH...

TRUST ME... the words almost crossed my lips... but again... they're ordering my Arai helmet... and so I'm trying to stay on the GOOD side of them for the time being...

The sales woman was actually really nice... she was really upset when she found out about the seat bracket, battery, flat tire ect... but not much she could do as the shop guy was kinda acting manager...

I told her... don't be supprised to see me pick up my helmet and then never step foot in this place again... she's said she understood and actually was the one that sudgested the other place... and that she was thinking of getting a job there... :lol:

oh well... I got a good deal... $4999 for an 05 with 618 miles and new tires...oh forgot to tell you they tried to back out on the $1000 gear voucher!... the manager said... I miss read it for $100 when I signed it... :wbs: so I said... that's fine... I'll just take $1000 off the bike.(to knock it down to 4999).. we went rounds but eventually that's what they did... AND they threw in the Arai helmet... though I don't think the guy caught on till the paperwork was done... :lol:

Reading it made me a bit homesick for Alasaka, there is so much good riding up there. But I wasn't homesick enough to move back up there and give up year round riding !!

yeah I read that... definatly cool... I'll be investing in a GOOD digital camera here when I get back from the deployment...
