Yep...our little Bull is growing up fastly to full squid status! YEA!

I can't believe you got a ticket for that.... you need to find a piece of private property and get permission to use it. As soon as you see people out like that you need to not do stuff. While you think it's no big deal, the rest of the world think you're going to kill yourself. So they do what? That's right you know from personal expierence...THEY CALL THE COPS!!!

Actually, the rest of the world could care less what you do to yourself ;)

What they are concerned about, however, is that some squid is doing something that could very possibly injure them or someone else.

Case in point ... I'm on my way to work the other day (the big 4 mile commute), and this moron is coming at me in the oncomming lane on a gixxer in a big stand-up wheelie. Well, when king squid sets it down the wheel is cocked just a bit and he goes into a huge tank slapper. Now ... we're on a 2-lane road with a 45mph limit ... we're both prob at +5mph (I know I was). If he hadn't managed to regain control, there's a real good chance he was going to cross the centerline (he was headed that way) and we were going to possibly have a 100+mph impact (head-on, you add the speeds together). My truck would've won, but it still would have been a very bad accident. (Yes, I imagine I could have avoided him if things had gone egg-shaped, but that's not the point - I shouldn't have to).

:dthumb: Bulldog, I like your attitude toward the ticketing issue. You broke the law but instead of whining about how it's the other driver or the cop's fault, you took the responsibility in acknowledging what you did was illegal. I haven't seen a lot of other riders who's willing to step up to the consequences of their own actions.

Bull, you're lucky you got what you got, most cops would have gave you a wreckless driving ticket, and found something else to nail you on while he was aat it. When you insurance finds out it will suck, but may not be as bad with excessive speed vs. wreckless driving. Just don't tell your insurance company about it! Let them find out on their own. Sometimes you can escape it, and after 3 years it is erased from the county system. i've had this happen before I know.
