Flying into the eye of Katrina

I know a fellow in Slidell, La., a Major in the Air force who used to fly those Hurricane Hunters...he has some stories...right now, I can't get hold of him...No power, phones, etc....They say slidell is flooded and what's not under water got blown down...I am concerned...
