When I got my 1990 CBR 1000, it was Honda's superbike. Fantastic acceleration and speed. Three years later, Honda comes out with the 900RR. So the CBR 1000 is relegated to sport/tourer. In 1997, Honda makes the CBR 1100 it's speed king, and the CBR 1000 is discontinued. With 600's as quick as mine, if someone asks if my 1000 is fast, I just nod and say "yeah".

The '90 CBR 1000 is a great ride, but yeah these days, the sportbikes, even the 600's are so much lighter and quicker than just the ones made a few years ago, its unreal. Im too lazy to search thru the threads to see if you ever put a pic of ur ride, do you have one No Worries?

But still, hell yeah I'd say its fast, and to the general public, its a sportbike, so of course it's fast anyways. ;)

I have the red, white and blue one. It's in the Honda gallery. I looked at the silver one, but it was boring, and looked wrong with the white wheels. And what was Honda thinking of with white wheels? They get dirty instantly. And I too am lazy.

Something that is never mentioned with the 600 vs 1000 debate is you can be lazy on the 1000 and still go fast. The 1000 has torque. With my abundant torque, I can cruise at 4,000 RPM with the same torque as the 600's at 10,000, and my 1000 doesn't peak until 8,000. The only problem is my 1000 is 200 pounds heavier than the 600's.
