I bought a 2003 Blue Katana 600 with 2800 miles on it. It is a beauty.
I want to install frame sliders, but I can't find anything made for Katana. Does anyone have frame sliders on Katana? What brand? where Can I get them?
One more Question: I am looking for a gas tank half bra, any suggestions?

thanks

The tank bra is a standard suzuki part you can find at any local dealer, ebay, or online parts supply. I have one too and I love it.

As for frame sliders, they dont really make Kat specific ones, and unless you wanna fabricate a special bracket to bolt to the frame, u normally just need to drill thru the frame.

Its a pretty highly debated topic in the kat arena. As many same it weakens the frame..as say that it doesnt. Personally I dont have them on mine, but Ive been considering it, Im just not too keen myself on drilling thru the skeleton that hold my bike together.

There has got to be a motor mount you can use for a frame slider!!

There isn't. The Kat motor doesn't have top motor mounts like most modern sportbikes.

Only thing you can really do is mount them to the frame. The problem is, they can fold back with a hard enough impact, which really doesn't fall into the "frame protection" category.

I would suggest buying some frame sliders and bringing them to you local metal fab shop(even a local Tech, Trade school), have them tap a bolt mount and weld it to your frame. There is a nice piece of frame that is shown on the Kats, perfect spot for frame sliders. Just a little time and research and you'll have them.

Get on Maximum Suzuki.com. It's a forum for Kats, Bandits, and DRs. Alot of good info on there for those models. Someone will be able to give you some help( not that you won't get it here, just more model specific info). Congrats on the new ride.
